DUST issue #18 Love More After the previous issue focussed exclusively on still-life photography, this issue revolves entirely around the person. DUST #18 is a 660 pages concept issue divided into two volumes. The first volume is dedicated to the study of portraiture. The second volume is dedicated to the study of the body. The artists involved in this issue were asked to work with these guidelines, and create two specular stories: the first focussing on the face, the second on the body. As such, this issue is a broad reflection of how individuals come to terms with existential dualities, and what it takes to bridge them. So, as this issue proposes: ‘Love more — because the world needs it. Love more — for we are in this together; for the damage we share is greater than what divides us. Love more — for it is the language of our times; the vocabulary of a generation. Love more — for it is time to act radically; to make love the winning strategy. Love more — as a way of tuning in to what is real, what matters, what we can rely on. Love more — because the future does not look bright. Love more — because it is on us to call upon calamity and face it.'
