KKK HOODS / Erik Bergrin
|
Most of my work has to do with a disconnection with yourself because of your past. Hiding behind, and never being present. The hoods are an example of this idea. I always to examine and analyze this using a needle and thread. The hoods are a representation of hiding behind masks and the indulgence in cravings as a substitute for truly being in the moment. The KKK is such an iconic symbol of hate and ignorance which I used to push the feeling of the hoods.
