A Bruce La Bruce photoromance for Dust Online
Case History: Joaquin and Carlos.
Joaquin and Carlos were a happily married couple living in Spain (where gay marriage is legal)
…until one day Carlos…
…who developed a severe case of borderline personal disorder (BPD)…
… and was thereby overly sensitive to Joaquin’s criticisms of his failures in life and other hurtful put-downs…
… decided to end it all by jumping of the Acueducto de Segovia…
…the bridge in Madrid traditionally used by disenchanted young lovers to commit suicide.
Joaquin begged and pleaded and prayed to God for his husband
not to kill himself, but when he tried to grab him physically…
… Carlos was even more determined to snuff out his own young life.
It was a long drop to the busy street below…
…and it would have meant certain death if Carlos had made the leap of bad faith.
It looked as if Carlos was determined to go over the edge…
…and punish his husband…
… for treating him so cruelly.
But Joaquin appealed to God once more…
…and miraculously Carlos finally changed his mind.
The troubled married couple left the bridge…
…put their shirts and coats back on..
… collected Carlos’ prized orange bicycle..
… and paused to vow they would never find themselves in that precarious position again.
They bought some lollipops…
…a memento of their beloved city…
… and a symbol of their everlasting love for each other.
Candy hearts…
…to heal their broken parts.
They swapped their sweet saliva…
…as the sun set behind them…
…and used their tongues for love…
…instead of hate.
They kissed…
…and kissed…
…and kissed…
…until the shirts came off again
It seemed as if all was well in the world once more…
for Joaquin and Carlos…
…who made such a handsome…
…and devoted…
…and hot married couple.
But a match made in heaven…
… is sometimes destined to end in hell.
An hour later Carlos took offense…
…to something vaguely insulting Joaquin said as a joke…
…about the colour of his bicycle.
The couple began to fight on a cliff overlooking the city…
…until blood began to pour from their mouths.
Carlos took Joaquin by the throat…
… and pushed him to the edge of the cliff.
Despite his husband’s pleas for mercy…
…He pushed Joaquin further over the edge toward certain death…
…and all over an insult to his little orange BMX bicycle with the green handlebars and the banana seat…
…which Carlos held dearer than life itself…
…or his husband.
Turning his bicycle into a deadly weapon…
… he ran the thick front tire back and forth…
…over his husband’s vulnerable chest.
His Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) giving him superhuman strength…
…he gave one final push…
…until blood began to pour out of Joaquin’s mouth…
… and he expired.
And the moral of the story is…
…BPD and BMX will always triumph over gay marriage.
