Vilde Rolfsen

Vilde repeatedly explores the relationship between humans and objects. Being born in the 90’s, into a use-and-throw culture, she questions issues regarding consumerism and commercialism. She also have an interest in the domestic object, how a normal object, once taken out of its original purpose, can suddenly become something interesting and beautiful.

Domestic Objects

Domestic objects is a series exploring the everyday object. Once taken out of its purpose, the creations of new surroundings start. I want them to achieve a new purpose, the purpose of looking interesting.

Plastic bag Landscape

I use light and colored background to make plastic bags look magical. Creating a landscape within the plastic bag. Plastic bags are a huge contributor to the landfill waste, and are extremely harmful for our oceans and the creatures living there.
Do not say yes to a plastic bag when shopping. These plastic bags were found in the street.
